It all starts with a dream...
In Crete, beneath the trees of an olive grove, our story begins. The olive grove of the Gkazas family. From this fertile Cretan soil, Gkazas was born. It all started with a dream. To make high-quality olive oil accessible to as many people as possible, in a fair and sustainable way.

Out of love for the product...
We harvest it in the most authentic, pure, and natural way: with our own hands. Our olive grove is located in the mountains of central Crete, where the soil is fertilized by goats and sheep that graze freely. The olive trees only receive water from natural rainfall. Every winter, we harvest and press the olives ourselves. Our Greek olive oil is naturally filtered, organic, cold-pressed, not mixed with other oils, and free of additives: a pure and honest family product. back in the days
It all started quite some time ago...
Tom, Floris, and Eva Reurts were still teenagers. They are siblings who meet local George Gkazas during their holiday in Crete. He has to be introduced to their mother. The spark flies, and a marriage is the result.
George tells his story
The Gkazas groves have been in the family for generations. However, bringing this beautiful olive oil from Crete to the mainland is a challenge...

Time flies
Now, more than ten years later, Gkazas olive oil has grown into a fully-fledged company, bringing hundreds of thousands of liters of organic, extra virgin olive oil from Crete to the Netherlands every year. A flavorful product, just like the Greeks enjoy it, from the mountains of Crete to your kitchen table. The best olive oil, of course! And all of this at a fair price; a fair price for the Cretan farmers there and for the Dutch consumer here. That way, everyone can enjoy our organic olive oil.
